Here’s one of the earliest Catalinbread designs, the Supercharged Overdrive. It’s a pretty unique circuit with the Contour control adding in more distortion and saturation from the CD4007 stage. Laid out for board mounted pots and will fit quite nicely in a 1590B. Schematic here for reference.

It’s Fuzz Friday once again and this week we have the Satisfaction Fuzz from Electro Harmonix. It’s essentially a Jordan Bosstone without the clipping diodes and a smaller output capacitor.

Here’s a great sounding overdrive from Blackout Effectors. It features a 2-band EQ and the standard drive and volume controls. The topology of the circuit is reminiscent of the classic Big Muff, (input amplifier, gain stage, gain stage, EQ, gan recovery stage) but the components are completely different. Here’s an unreleased version of the Evil Filter. It’s similar but not quite the same as the original. The schematic was pulled from a video interviewing DBA’s Oliver Ackermann and was redrawn here. Some of the parts are a little pricey but the resulting sound is apparently amazing.
