Friedman
BAJA BE100 Overdrive
Based on the frequency response of Friedman BE100 amplifier. Added the tonestack at the end of the circuit. Schematic and info HERE
Friedman Golden Pearl Overdrive
I haven’t done a layout for a while and as this is a nice simple one I (as I like them) I thought I’d add this to the collection. After doing it I noticed that HamishR has added a layout to the forum and that one is verified. But I thought I’d still add this … Read more
Friedman Dirty Shirley
Verified. In case of noise issues, try a higher cap value in place of 120pF. 470pF-1nF is a good starting point.
Friedman BE-OD
Verified. As most non PCB layouts of this circuit, it is quite noisy. But it is easily solved by replacing 120pF capacitor with a larger valye between 470pF-1nF. Or just put a buffer in front of it. And a layout requested by Teddeeh with transistors as clippers.
Friedman Golden Pearl
Here’s a good sounding lower gain overdrive from Friedman. Several options with this circuit with clipping and tone options on toggle switches. Fairly transparent, as they say.
Thermionic Distortion (Friedman BE-OD)
Today we’re going to be looking at the Friedman BE-OD, a distortion pedal that was designed to emulate the Friedman Brown Eye Amplifier. If you’re wondering how it sounds, just go check out the demo done by Pete Thorne here. While he makes everything he plays sound great, this pedal was really easy to dial … Read more
