Got a request for this one. It’s another Electra-derived overdrive, this time meant to sound like a Marshall. This should be an easy fit in a 1590A.
Today we’ve got the Lovepedal Hi Volt. A wide variety of tones on tap with this one. It’s a cascaded JFET gain stage into an active EQ section, all powered by a 16v charge pump. Laid this out with on board pots and will fit in a 125B with top mounted jacks. Here’s the schematic … Read more
This should emulate a Fender Champ sound. You can find original FSB thread and schematic here.
Been a while since I’ve laid out an Electra and I came across the Champ schematic on FSB, so here you go. Should fit with a board mounted pot in a 1590A.
“The Hi Volt is a mid- to high-gain dirt box, with a fully saturated effect that is internally charge-pumped to 16VDC, and brandishes a high headroom, custom-tuned 3-band active EQ. This high-voltage configuration allows for very flexible and potent sonic possibilities, ranging from blues to metal and everything in between. With its generous low-end wallop, … Read more
Here’s YAFF (yet another Fuzz Face) for Fuzz Friday. This is the basic circuit for many Lovepedal variations of the classic fuzz using both germanium and silicon transistors. If using PNP transistors whether germanium or silicon, be sure to flip the the polarized components, etc. Here’s the schematic the layout is based on.
Hadn’t done a boost pedal in a while and hadn’t done a Lovepedal pedal in a while either, so I’m killing 2 birds with one stone. The Delux 60 uses a Mosfet gain stage set to give clean boost or to push a tube amp into break up. It’s simple but effective. This’ll fit into … Read more
Here’s another overdrive from Lovepedal, the Kalamazoo. Somewhat similar to the Timmy/OD11 but with different tone controls. D5 on originals is a 1N914/4148 (they’re pretty much the same diode), but a 1N5817 or even a 4001 would probably bet better (it’s for polarity protection). Also, I’ve included pads for the capacitor labeled “Cx” on the … Read more
Here’s Lovepedal’s clone of Paul C’s Timmy again. This time with on-board pots and a slightly modified power section. Sean added some extra power filtering that’s just unnecessary, so I simplified things. Drilling template can be found here.
