Skreddy Pig Mine
Skreddy’s description: Smooth, Intense, Sustaining Distortion Tight and aggressive fuzz/distortion Lay into the notes for that deep, harmonic saturation and violin-like sustain. All your detail and articulation are preserved throughout the sustain knob’s travel. Not too much bass, not too much high end–well balanced tone. Low noise floor, too! The mods Marc did to this … Read more

David Main’s description: “And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.” Be afraid….be very afraid! This monstrosity has so much bottom end it will surely … Read more
Skreddy Mayonaise
I may as well add some of the others while I’m at it! :o) From the Skreddy website: A vintage, 4-transistor distortion, made with meticulous regard to detail. All audio electronics are the same as used circa 1971. Modern upgrades include DC power, LED on/off indicator, and true bypass switching.
Skreddy Pink Flesh
Here’s the layout for another rare Skreddy effect, like the Mayo posted previously. Info from the builder: Based on the “triangle-knob” circa 1971 4-transistor fuzz, but I’ve changed the input capacitor to a more saturated-sounding type like the circa 1973 ‘rams head’ version fuzz. From there, I’ve tightened up the bass and smoothed out the … Read more
Lovepedal Eternity Burst – SIP8 inline opamp
After a thread on Freestompboxes, I thought it would be interesting to try out a few layouts using inline opamps and see how they compare in board size. Tayda sell the NJM4558 which would be perfect for a lot of these effects and so I thought it would be good to see how the layout … Read more
Lovepedal Eternity Burst
And the other version with symmetrical clipping and slight component value variation. So this is the bufferless Tubescreamer:

Lovepedal’s bufferless Tubescreamer with asymmetrical clipping. Actually I think that makes it a bufferless Boss SD1

You may struggle to get hold of the 2SC828 transistors, so just try any high gain NPN silicon. Just make sure the pinouts match, or use some small heatshrink tubing or offcuts of wire insulation and twist the legs if you need to. Geiri’s demo:
Lovepedal Kalamazoo
Update: aegert on FSB has experimented with the circuit and has found that putting a low value cap like 820pf between pins 1 and 2 of the opamp really improved the pedal. He also suggests that a 500K log pot is much better for the Gain control, so give that a go. Update 2: daz … Read more
