Booster
DOD 210 FET Preamp
Here we have a small one, an old J FET booster. Polarity protection diode and power filter cap has been added and the 22k Drain resistor is replaced with 50k trimpot so we can socket and try out a wide range of J FETs.
God City Gradient w. gain ctrl
Here is a quite simple Booster/Eq/light OD circuit designed by Kurt Ballou. More info and schematic HERE.
Hornby & Skewes Selectatone T.B.2
A tweaked Rangemaster with switchable output filters. Schematic and more info HERE.
Spontaneous Audio Devices Son of Kong (modified)
Layout is based on schematic from PedalPCB. This is a stripped down version of the original pedal to make it fit into a small enclosure. For those who wants to build the complete circuit, Deadend Fx has PCB on their site called Diddy.
WTF Big Enuff? – Violet Edition
Another distortion unit designed by Pedro (WTFiCanBuildMyOwnPedals). Here is his own words on his creation. “This one will destroy many amps and eardrums. It is nothing new, just a marriage between a Big Muff and the Booster from the FZ-2 (pedalPCB’s version) which has a very powerful EQ… and it sounds exactly like I imagined it. Anders was … Read more
Blackhawk Amplifiers Azoth Baxandall Boost
A great sounding and flexible 2-band baxandall eq booster that can get quite gritty depending how you set the internal gain trimpot. The Mid control is not actually an active mid band control, it is a passive variable resistor that changes the overall mid slope. Note that this seem to be an earlier version, the … Read more
Blackhawk Amplifiers Morgul Boost
Here is a heavy dirty booster that will melt your Orange, Green or Sunn amp head. And your one knob fuzz will love it.😈. The gain range goes from a fairly clean boost to a hairy and fuzzy overdrive. “Transparent” it is not… It is a fairly simple circuit that boost the whole sound spectrum … Read more
Death by Audio Super Fuzz War – Boost section
Based on schematic avaiable at Deadend Fx. Layout for the Fuzz section HERE.
Ibanez No. 95 Renometer
This was a request. Appearantly a very powerful booster and eq circuit using inductors for sort of multiband wah sounds. The original ran on two 9v batteries for bipolar power operation but I included an onboard power inverter. Note that sizes of inductors varies a lot but hopefully there is enough room for them, especially … Read more
