Death by Audio Echo Dream 2 w. charge pump
Added an onboard charge pump to this one for 18v operation since the function generator IC XR2206P needs at least 10v to operate as it should.

Not quite a Fuzz Friday, but a Filter Friday I guess. Goes hand in hand with some fuzz though. The Sound Saw has two different passive filters selected by the Channel footswitch. The filters then share a 2-transistor gain recovery stage. Here’s the schematic for reference. You can use a common cathode LED for the … Read more
Now verified. But as with DBA Octave Clang I felt it was lacking in gain. But there is a super simple mod to increase the gain of the LM386 amp. Just omit the cut between pin 1 and pin 8. Now we have both a fat fuzz or way over the top octave fuzz with … Read more
Just a variation of various Death by Audio circuits using reverse beta gain (reversed transistor gain). Initially I was messing with Fuzz War 7 transistor fuzz and eventually got it to work but it was unstable and the decay was very erratic. Replaced the five first stages with the four first stages of Soundwave Breakdown … Read more
With lots of help and footwork by AlexS, we managed to trace Oliver Ackermann’s red business card PCB which turned out to be a noisy fuzz monster. Gain, Resonance and Filter controls is very interactive and you can dail in gated fuzz, oscillations and bizarre lo-fi filtered fuzz. First up, schematic. And a verified layout.
