ETI Fuzztone
Apparently there was some slight issues with the schematic above, namely the R6 was not correctly placed – that had been corrected in the next ETI issue back in 1993. The layout seems correct to me.. 🙂

As. Requested. Info from ROG: There has always been much talk about the mystical hand-built amps that a particular man sells for around $10,000 each. Some claim these are the greatest amplifiers known to man, while others maintain it’s all hype. The runoffgroove.com team doesn’t know for sure, because neither of us can plunk down 10 … Read more
Zero information around about this circuit. The schematic is signed by Alquinta, and the design looks really nice. Only info i could easily find was the little note on the bottom schematic file: “Bass overdrive with a dirty edge (Low to Med Gain)” The transistors (Q1-Q3) can be 2N5089, BC549C or similar. This design is pretty close to OD250/Dist+, but i thought it should be added anyway, as there are some slight differences. Funny thing is that the same circuit was marketed and sold as both Vox Distortion and Guyatone Zoom Distortion Box. From what i can tell from the demo, it’s really nice sounding thing. These … Read more
Geiri verified this one and made a cool demo! On his build, the gain pot is wired in reverse – that has been fixed in the layout below. Mark Hammer’s Chaos Distortion is turning 10. From Mark Hammer: A friend’s son wanted a heavy-metal kind of thing so I thought I’d try and do something … Read more
Request. Manufacturers info about the reissue version which is a circuit match: The WH10V2 features the same circuit as the original with one major upgrade: a very sturdy metal housing. Ready now for the rigors of the road, the WH10V2 features the same multiple feedback opamp circuit as the original, a type rarely found in … Read more
Gus Smalley’s “Octave Up Sick Box”. And demonstative video from one cool dude who’s been around the blog sometimes too. He also has a few words of wisdom to share! Check it out! Built it using 1N60Ps for D1&D2, 1N4148s for D3-D6. Works like a charm. Well. A sick charm, but still 🙂 And here’s … Read more
